A bit of history...

A bit of history….
In the XIV-XVII centuries. Western Europe has contributed to the history of the development of the wig. At the court of Louis XIV, about 5,000 hairdressers worked, such a number was necessary to provide his high society with wigs. By the way, the word "hairdresser" in translation from German does not mean at all the person who cuts hair, but "the person who makes wigs." The century of Louis XIV is not in vain called the era of wigs, since during his reign there were more than 40 types of different products made of artificial hair, and every self-respecting person should have at least !!! three different wigs. The most famous "alonge" wig was invented by the court hairdresser Binet. It reflected greatness and become the owner, as it cost a lot of money (up to 3,000 ecu) and only members of the royal family could afford the right to wear it. At the same time, small powdered wigs appeared with curls at the temples, at the back they ended in either a pigtail or a ponytail. This wig "evened out" the age of the courtiers, as it was worn by both old and young.
